Taşucu Port, in the Silifke district, is the departure point for anyone crossing to Northern Cyprus by sea. Getting there from the airport takes careful timing.
Distance and Journey Time
Çukurova Airport is about 130 km from Taşucu Port, roughly 110 minutes in normal traffic. In summer, congestion on the coast road can push that up to 130 minutes.
How Early Should You Reach the Port?
Ferry and sea-bus operators generally ask you to be at the port 90 minutes before departure. We suggest allowing two hours to cover passport and baggage formalities.
Leave at least four hours between your landing time and the ferry's departure. Plans that make no allowance for a delayed flight usually end in a missed sailing.
Planning the Transfer
When you book, give us both your flight number and your ferry departure time. If your flight is delayed we will re-plan the route and the departure time around it.
What to Watch for at the Port
- Your passport must have at least six months' validity
- Keep your printed or mobile ticket to hand
- If you are hiring a car, Northern Cyprus insurance is arranged separately
- There are few places to change money at the port, so come prepared
The Same Plan on the Way Back
When you sail back from Northern Cyprus to Taşucu, we collect you at the port and take you to the airport. Because ferry arrival times vary, we allow 60 minutes of free waiting on return transfers.
